Trucks, SUVs & Cars We Service

2WD, 4WD, Gas, Diesel, Lifted or Stock — If It Rolls In, We Work On It

People call and ask "do you work on my truck?" often enough that it deserves its own page. The short answer is almost certainly yes. Here is the long one.

LONESTAR LIFTED TRUCKS in Argyle, Texas services half-ton, three-quarter-ton and one-ton pickups, full-size and mid-size SUVs, diesel trucks, and ordinary cars and crossovers. Two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. Gas, diesel, hybrid and electric. Lifted by us, lifted by somebody else, or never touched.

What changes between them is which bay it goes in and which technician takes it — not whether we will take the job. Call (940) 240-1958 with your year, make and model and we will tell you straight away what we can do and what it costs.

Two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. Gas, diesel, hybrid and electric. Lifted or dead stock. If it rolls into the bay we will work on it — and if a job is outside what we do, we will tell you that instead of guessing on your dime.

Two-Wheel Drive Is Not an Afterthought

A large share of the trucks in Denton County are two-wheel drive, and a surprising number of shops treat them as second-class. They use different lift kits, they have different front-end geometry, and the tire fitment math is not the same as a 4x4 of the same model. A shop that does not carry 2WD-specific kits will either tell you it cannot be done or put the wrong parts under your truck.

We quote 2WD lifts and levels properly, with the right kit and a real alignment afterward. Same for wheels and tires: a 2WD half-ton with the right offset and the right tire looks every bit as good as its four-wheel-drive twin, and it costs less to get there.

Four-Wheel Drive and the Parts That Wear

On the 4x4 side, the parts people forget are the ones we watch: front hub assemblies, 4WD actuators, U-joints, CV boots, transfer case fluid and front differential fluid. A truck that spends its life in four-wheel drive on caliche and job sites goes through those faster than the maintenance schedule assumes, and catching one early is the difference between a service and a tow. When your truck is on our rack for anything, we look.

Common Questions

Do you work on cars, or only trucks and SUVs?

Cars too. Tires, wheels, brakes, oil, batteries, A/C, fluids and alignment on sedans, coupes, minivans and crossovers — hybrids and EVs included. Trucks and SUVs are what we are known for, and the suspension and lift work is truck-focused, but the everyday service bays are open to whatever you drive.

Do you lift two-wheel-drive trucks?

Yes, and it is a real job rather than an afterthought. 2WD trucks use their own kits and have their own considerations — different front geometry, different tire clearance, sometimes different shock options. Plenty of shops shrug at a 2WD lift. We quote it properly.

Can you lift an SUV, not just a pickup?

Absolutely. 4Runners, Tahoes, Suburbans, Yukons, Expeditions, Broncos, Wranglers, Sequoias, Grand Cherokees and Land Cruisers all take lifts, levels, wheels and tires, and the SUV work is some of our favourite — you get a real transformation out of a modest lift.

What diesel work do you take?

Maintenance and service, not internal engine work. Fuel filters, oil and filters, air filters, DEF service, glow plugs, dual batteries, coolant, transmission and differential fluids, brakes, suspension, wheels, tires and alignment on Power Stroke, Cummins and Duramax trucks. Injectors, turbos and head gaskets go to a diesel engine specialist and we will point you to one.

Do you delete or tune emissions equipment?

No. Removing or defeating emissions equipment is a federal violation under the Clean Air Act, and it is not something this shop does on any vehicle, for any customer, at any price.

Can you service a truck you did not build?

Of course. Most of the service work through these bays is on trucks somebody else lifted, or trucks that are dead stock. Bring it in either way.
