Built to Haul, Not Just to Sit Tall
Bartonville is horse country and acreage, and the trucks reflect it. Three-quarter-ton and one-ton diesels, gooseneck balls in the bed, a trailer on the back most weekends, and a driveway that is longer than some people's commute.
A truck like that has a suspension problem that a show truck does not: it has to carry weight and still ride like something you would want to spend two hours in. Lift it wrong and you get a truck that porpoises with a trailer, squats under a gooseneck and wears the inside edges off a set of expensive tires.
That is the work we like best. Ride-quality and load-carrying systems — Carli Suspension, ICON Vehicle Dynamics, Westcott Designs, Fox, King and Elka — matched to what the truck actually pulls, not to a height number on a box.
Hitch and gooseneck installation, wiring, brake controllers, airbag helper systems and load-range E tire packages. Set up so the truck sits level loaded, not just empty.
Super Duty, 2500/3500, RAM HD and dually lift systems with the driveline, track bar and steering geometry corrected, not ignored.
Carli, ICON, Westcott, Fox and King coilover and shock packages. These are the kits for the owner who tows and wants the suspension to actually work.
There is a real difference between a lift kit and a suspension system, and it shows up the first time you put four thousand pounds of tongue weight on the ball. A spacer kit raises the truck. An engineered system changes spring rate, shock valving and geometry together so the truck controls the load instead of reacting to it.
On a Bartonville truck we spend the conversation on what you pull — horses, equipment, a fifth wheel, a dump trailer — and how far. Then we spec the springs and the valving to that, and we tell you plainly when a two-thousand-dollar shock package is the right money and when it is not.
Tires matter as much as the suspension. A load-range E in the right size, at the right pressure, on a wheel with the right load rating, is the difference between a truck that tracks straight behind a trailer and one that wanders. We check the numbers, not just the tread pattern.
And every one of these trucks gets a real alignment afterward, on a rack that will take a one-ton dually. That is not a given at most shops.
All of it in-house, at our Argyle shop, at a $150 per hour door rate with every job quoted in writing before we touch your truck.
There are more Jeeps around Bartonville than most people notice — JL and JK Wranglers on 35s, Gladiators pulling trailers, TJs that have been in the family a decade. Same bay, same crew, same written quote. See everything we do for Jeeps.
A steering stabilizer hides death wobble. It does not fix it. We check the track bar, ball joints, tie rod ends, control arm bushings and wheel balance before we sell you a single part — that is how we run a death wobble diagnosis.
A JL or JT on 35s with factory gears is slow off the line, hot on the highway and hard on the transmission. We do the lift and the regear together so the Jeep drives right when it leaves.
Drop the Jeep off, we pull the hardtop and reinstall it when the weather turns. The top goes home with you — we do not store it. Hardtop removal and reinstall.

Authorized dealer for every brand listed above. Running something that is not on this list? We can source and install almost any major aftermarket suspension, wheel, tire or accessory line — give us a call and we will price it out.
A properly engineered system should not reduce what the truck can safely pull, but it absolutely changes hitch geometry and can change how the load sits. We set ride height and hitch drop together so the trailer runs level, and we tell you honestly if a particular height is going to fight your setup.
Yes. We do alignments in-house on lifted three-quarter-ton and one-ton trucks, duallies included — work a lot of quick-lube and tire chains will not take.
Usually a matched spring-and-shock system rather than a spacer lift — Carli, ICON, Westcott, Fox 2.5 or King, depending on the truck and the budget. Add airbag helpers if the tongue weight is high. We will spec it around your trailer, not around a catalog picture.
